Commission a painting
Commissioning a painting is a deeply personal process and our collaboration begins long before any paint touches the canvas.
Paintings can be calm, spacious, and ethereal; they can be intricate, chaotic, and energizing and everything in between!
Custom painting commissions can be created to fit any space, color scheme, and mood.
We'll begin by determining the size of the piece based on photographs and measurements of your wall. Once a deposit has been made, I’m happy to advise on sizing and provide a virtual mock up of the painting in your space.
Canvases can be built to accommodate any custom size to perfectly fit your space and vision. I build my own canvases and frames in my garage, and sometimes commission local woodworkers.
The table below lists common sizes and their price to aid as a starting point/estimate.
Prices include a wooden floater frame which adds approximately 2 inches to the total width and height.

Commissioned paintings are usually abstract oil paintings on canvas, however I am happy to discuss other media and subject matter.
You're welcome to provide as little or as much creative direction for your commission as you like. Some ideas include: one of my past paintings, the decor of your home, a photograph, a Pinterest moodboard.
In addition to visual inspiration we'll discuss the mood your painting should evoke.
