I worked with Rachel to build a joyful and organic visual identity for her boutique, which began as an ecommerce business and within two years grew into a brick and mortar space.

I provided Rachel with a logo suite, color palette, typography guidelines, iconography, and an illustrated pattern, accompanied by a brand guide.

Vibe: Joyful, welcoming, fun, bright
For the logo, I customized a serif font to express a combination of fancy and playful. The crooked c, e, and stretched a add a joyful and casual vibe to the solid, elegant serif typeface. The illustrated iconography gives the brand a bespoke, handcrafted feel, alluding to the fact that Prickly Pear stocks local artisan goods that you can't find anywhere else.

Rachel has a large and tight-knit local community that she was able to leverage to spread the word and build hype for her new shop. I encouraged her to pay special attention to the experience of her bags and packaging, since she would often bring deliveries of online orders to friends at school and church.
